The Wonderer

Music ·

Original music and lyrics by Gernot Ottowitz. Produced with the help of suno.ai

A journey into experiencing without distortion — an introduction track about seeing things and people as they are, without trying to turn them into something else.

This track is meant as the introduction track of the album. It came about when I was working through all my old songs, all my lyrics, and thinking about what the main lesson — the main realization — had been through all of it.

It really boils down to one thing: being able to be in the moment, see things for what they are, and not for what I wanted them to be. Not distort other people or moments through my filters — really be present first and take in everything as is.

Not everything needs to be understood to be real. Not everything needs to be held to be meaningful.

It’s the beginning of seeing things — and people — as they are, without turning them into something of your own.

Lyrics

The Wonderer

[Intro]
There was a man who walked through seasons
With something on his mind
In every face, in every moment
A meaning he could find

[Vers 1]
But everything he reached for
Would change along the way
The more he tried to keep it
The more it slipped away

[Vers 2]
Until he faced a silent form
That did not turn or take
That did not shape the moment
Into something it could make

[Pre-Chorus]
And in that kind of stillness
Something fell away

[Chorus]
And the only thing he learned
Before he moved along
Was to see what’s there before him
Without needing to belong

[Instrumental break]

[Outro]
And the only thing he learned
Before he moved along
Was to see what’s there before him
Without needing to belong
