For BeQuadrat’s Christmas cabaret Punschlos Glücklich, I filmed the full performance and created a trailer designed to carry its wit, rhythm and charm beyond the stage.
Comedy is unusually dependent on timing. The edit became an exercise in knowing when to cut, when to wait, and when to leave enough space for a beat to land.
Working with Bettina Bogdany and Bernhard Viktorin is always a pleasure. Their range and precision give the material a very particular energy, and the trailer was shaped to preserve that rather than simply summarise the show.
